CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) biology has selected the research program of our International Associated Laboratory, RESPIVIR, France – Canada, as part of the International Research Program 2023 call (IRP).

Involving Université Laval, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and our Technology Research Platform Virnext, RESPIVIR was created between Manuel Rosa-Calatrava’s team and that of Guy Boivin LVMC at the Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec-Université Laval to conduct integrated basic, translational medical, and applied research on emerging and re-emerging respiratory viruses. As part of the dynamic France-Canada joint committee (CMFC) on science, technology, and innovation, RespiVIR is contributing to structure and strengthen the strategic international link between France and Canada, particularly between the province of Quebec and our region, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

It’s a wonderful recognition of our expertise and our international research dynamic, and Virnext is very proud to contribute to RESPIVIR. We would like to thank CNRS for this label and funding, which complement those from Université Laval, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (ETOILE2023), and Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (Pack Ambition International).
